Chasing Dreams: Myuna Farm and Enchanted Maze Garden

Thinking for very long on what should be the title for this post. Finally is this one, direct to the point I want to share with you, the life over there and the environment which we hope our children can get to grow up in.

I fall in love with Melbourne, not the city but the space and the life there make me wanted to stay longer. In year 2005 I was there for nearly a year, under a special campany mission, I was very depressed then. This round I was with family members and only 3 weeks, I fall in love with this big piece of land, I'm still asking myself is this real?

The most valueble gained from this trip is ... friendship! Yes, through my sister, I met some new friends. Well, I'm a simple woman who want a simple life.

I promise myself to record down this trip for Gabriel, so bear with me, it will not end in one post :) Most of the photos were taken by WT and my brother-in-laws.

At Myuna Farm, you are encourage to feed the animals. The farm is not as smelly or dirty as I imaging. It is located on a big piece of land, the design of the farm makes you think you are walking in a small village. The farm adventure was an excellent trip for Gabriel. He bravely fed the horses, donkey, milk cows, peacocks, chickens, guinea pigs, pigs and ducks. Other animals such as kangaroos, emus, rabbits, sheeps, etc. were not allow to take bread from us.

Just to record Gabriel feeding the pony with multigrains bread. He was very brave and took seriously to complete the task, he dared to let the horse's tongue touch his palm and... his mummy not dare to feed the horse :)

It was fill with emotion watching him throwing the bread crumbs into the duck pond. Such a simple action, however, he didn't have chance to do it in Singapore. I suddenly realized what I lack to provide for him all this long.

The Enchanted Maze Garden, located near to Arthurs Seat. The Garden divided into many sections, with a few mazes catered for children. There is a large Tube Slides area that children will love it. The beauty of this Garden is the design perfectly fitted into the nature, the children play areas all designed to surround by wood. The natural surrounding makes you feel you are walking and playing in the forest. It really encourage the young hearts to explore and enjoy the garden. As for me, it has been more than twenty years since I last see the forest, walk in the wood calm my soul and content me.

Gabriel and Papa sliding down the Tube Slides. The weather is super hot, that day it reached 48 degree.

The smiles... priceless!

  5. big space is always good for kids. Unfortunately in Singapore, every plot of land is used for buildings.
